Tyler Parsons: Hey, Tyler Parsons again, coming with you with another great speed and power exercise to help you get longer drives.
Today, I'm using a five-pound weight.
I'm just putting my hand through so I can hold it.
Now, what we're going to do is basically a discus throw to where we're coming around, trying to create as much lag as we can.
What I want you concentrating on is as we get loaded up to here, how well can you separate? The harder you can separate, meaning get those hips around while the upper body stays still, the more that we can create that towards, then going to drag the torso through.
In turn, the arm is going to be drug through.
That way, we're not up there trying to muscle through it to where the upper body gets too involved, but again, it's separating, whizzing, and then you want to drag everything else through.
We're not looking to do a lot of these, around that five to six, take a break.
You want to obviously do it under control until you get a good grasp of it and then you want to set there, while you explode allow the hips to drag, drag everything else through, creating a lot more power for you.
Give this a try, for sure you'll pick up some [inaudible 00:01:06] speed.
Check back, as always.
We'll have more speed and power coming at you and look back at parsonsgolfperfomance.com.
