Speaker 1: The trajectory is a little bit low, depending on the first kick.
Speaker 2: Oh, oh my!
Speaker 3: He just won his second title.
Speaker 1: There's another one.
Speaker 3: Might be the best feat in RE/MAX Long Drive history.
Bobby Wilson: Hi, Bobby Wilson here.
Founder of the Power Golf Institute and three-time, whoa wait a minute, four-time RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship.
I've just gotten back from the 2013 Championships where guess what, I won the grand champions division, so now I'm a four-time World Long Drive Champion.
But, I've got a tip today that going to change your life forever.
When we teach you lessons we want to develop feel in your swing.
We don't want you worried about the positions that you're body is in, and I want to give you a great example of that, We are more concern about club face and contact than anything else.
So, what I'm doing right now is I'm taking this driver and I'm going to put it vertically in my hand as you can see and I'm going to watch my hand to make sure it doesn't do anything wrong.
I've got it in balance, it's in perfect position, but the only thing I'm worried about is what, my technique in my hand.
Let's see what this club face does.
Now wait a minute, I did everything right with my hand, but I couldn't keep that club in balance.
What we need to be more concerned about is what is that club face doing in our swing to understand and feel where it goes.
So, let's take the opposite of that.
I've got it balanced in my hand, my concentration now is what, what the club head is doing.
Notice how I kept it in balance, I adjusted a little bit, I may have compensated a little bit, that's called the balance in the swing, but guess what, I kept it square.
What happens when you hit the ball square? It normally goes where you want it, it's a solid shot, and it creates distance.
So if you want to hit the ball further, let's work on where the club face is, swing in faster and it'll be a lot more fun because remember what I always like to say, golf is a lot more fun when you're out driving your buddies.
