Today, we're going to be looking at how we can actually use some of the ground to create that ground force that everybody's talking about.
If we're looking in the golf swing, what I see in a lot of you who are really struggling to get that power is that we're in through here, and we're just rotating.
This is great in the sense that I have a lot of separation, and I'm able to really pull through and create that torque, but what you can sort of notice is I'm rotating in space.
Now, where this becomes bad is, again, I want to use the ground for ground force.
What that needs to be is to where I'm pushing off of this right.
I'm really going, and I'm almost up and out.
As I'm pushing over into my left leg, I'm then able to straighten, and we get this upward sensation.
If there was something under the left foot, I'm pushing over into it and really thrusting so we're creating that upward motion as well.
You can really see this in all the long hitters, and it's going to be ...
Again, you first got to learn to get loaded.
Once we load, drive, push, rotate, and up in through here.
Let's look at a couple of exercises you can do at the gym to help out with this motion and increase that club head speed.
Those are two variations of a chop that we can do, again, to really drive both laterally as well as using that ground to push off and get that vertical.
That's definitely something that we've got to hammer out and do, but one of the big reasons I like that is because a lot of you don't have that separation, so that cable as we're pushing and driving, again, you can see this really hanging back, all firing around, pushing off.
We can clear that hip, get us to go up.
Definitely will help out with some club head speed for a lot of you.

Let's get that club head speed up, get you hitting the ball further so you can enjoy that game more.
